Double Layered Floral Jacquard Skirt
Also available to try in our Madrid boutique — Calle Libertad 6
A long-length skirt in ecru, woven in the same double-layered floral jacquard as the matching camisole, scattered with a black graphic bloom print. The crinkled, papery texture of the fabric gives the skirt body and structure while keeping it light to wear.
Cut in a long, column silhouette with a fully lined construction, it falls cleanly from the waist to a soft hem.
Handmade in Japan, the piece reflects the label's signature blend of traditional textile technique and contemporary silhouette.
Color: Ecru / Black • Floral jacquard print • Double-layered construction • Full-length column silhouette • Fully lined
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Mame Kurogouchi is a Tokyo-based ready-to-wear label founded in 2010 by designer Maiko Kurogouchi. The name comes from "mame," meaning bean in Japanese and also the designer's childhood nickname. After training at Bunka Fashion College and working in the Issey Miyake studio, Kurogouchi built a label devoted to preserving Japanese textile craft, working closely with rural artisans across the country to develop fabrics and techniques found nowhere else. Her collections are largely autobiographical, drawing on her travels through Japan and a deep connection to its vintage textiles, ceramics, and paintings. The result is clothing that feels both quietly poetic and technically exacting — fluid silhouettes built from deceptively intricate construction.
