The Jelle Trousers are cut from 100% upcycled hotel linen in a pale ice grey — a cool, almost-white tone that gives the trouser a clean, modern quality. The cloth is structured Egyptian cotton, sourced from Amsterdam luxury hotels before disposal, and it holds the straight silhouette with a quiet precision.
The fit is straight from hip to hem, with a tailored front and a discreet elastic waistband at the back that allows for ease of movement without interrupting the clean line from the front. Visible seam panel detailing across the leg is characteristic of MARTAN's approach — a mark of the cutting process, worn openly. A MARTAN classic, and one of the most versatile pieces in the range.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
MARTAN is a circular fashion brand founded in Amsterdam by Diek Pothoven and Douwe de Boer — designers and partners who built the label around a single premise: that luxury hotels discard vast quantities of high-quality Egyptian cotton linen the moment the first signs of wear appear, and that this material is too good to waste. MARTAN intercepts it, treats it, and turns it into clothing — produced made-to-order in Amsterdam, with no virgin fabric and each piece carrying a unique QR code revealing its full Life Cycle Analysis.
