Sheer Jacquard Mole Knit Top
Also available to try in our Madrid boutique — Calle Libertad 6
A sheer, openwork knit top in ecru, patterned with an intricate radiating jacquard motif that plays with transparency across the body and sleeves. Dramatic bell sleeves finish in a delicate scalloped lace edge, echoed at the hem.
The crew neckline and slightly cropped, boxy fit give the piece an easy, layered quality — designed to be worn over slips, tanks, or tailoring beneath.
Handmade in Japan, the piece reflects the label's signature blend of traditional textile technique and contemporary silhouette.
Color: Ecru • Sheer openwork jacquard knit • Crew neckline • Dramatic bell sleeves with scalloped lace trim • Scalloped lace hem • Relaxed, boxy fit
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Mame Kurogouchi is a Tokyo-based ready-to-wear label founded in 2010 by designer Maiko Kurogouchi. The name comes from "mame," meaning bean in Japanese and also the designer's childhood nickname. After training at Bunka Fashion College and working in the Issey Miyake studio, Kurogouchi built a label devoted to preserving Japanese textile craft, working closely with rural artisans across the country to develop fabrics and techniques found nowhere else. Her collections are largely autobiographical, drawing on her travels through Japan and a deep connection to its vintage textiles, ceramics, and paintings. The result is clothing that feels both quietly poetic and technically exacting — fluid silhouettes built from deceptively intricate construction.
