Cut in a bold multi-tone wool check, the Double Breasted Overcoat is a new outerwear piece for Chapter 26.2 Playground. A tailored piqué lapel, flap welt pockets, and four horn buttons define the relaxed, oversized silhouette, with the coat fully lined in cupro for a clean interior finish.

Roomy through the shoulder and body, it layers easily over knitwear or tailoring — a coat built for the kind of crisp, unhurried mornings the label keeps returning to.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Song for the Mute was founded in Sydney in 2010 by Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty — lifelong friends whose contrasting sensibilities define the label. Melvin's precision meets Lyna's embrace of imperfection; the result is clothing built around that tension. The brand works with artisanal mills in Japan, Italy, and France, engineering many of its own fabrics, and releases work in chapters rather than seasons — each one drawn from the founders' own lives.
