Observed: Meet | S.S. Daley

There’s something unmistakably personal about the work of S.S. Daley.
Designed by Steven Stokey-Daley, the 28-year-old from Liverpool behind the brand, these pieces carry a rare mix of layered storytelling, emotional weight, and craft. It's the kind of fashion that feels both rooted and entirely its own—a fresh take on British menswear that nods to history while quietly subverting it.

This collection marks a new chapter in a career that’s quickly become one of the most watched in the industry. Since graduating from the University of Westminster in 2020, Steven has reshaped the conversation around what British fashion can look and feel like. His work explores class, nostalgia, queerness, and identity—not in statements, but in silhouettes, textures, and gestures.

The recognition has followed naturally: the LVMH Prize for Young Designers, the BFC Emerging Designer Award, and most recently, the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. And beyond the accolades, he’s found support from the likes of Harry Styles—not just a client, but now a minority investor.

Through it all, Steven has remained sincere, grounded, and genuinely kind—a rare quality in someone with such remarkable talent.

What sets S.S. Daley apart isn’t just the design—it’s the integrity behind it: his commitment to sustainability, storytelling, and quiet disruption.
