BOOKS, ARTWORKS AND CULTURAL ICONS TRANSFORMED INTO HAND-EMBROIDERED CLUTCHES

Olympia Le-Tan

Founded in Paris in 2009, Olympia Le-Tan built her house around a single, precise idea: that a book, a painting, or a cultural reference could become a clutch bag. Each design begins as an obsession — a beloved novel cover, a masterwork painting, an iconic illustration — and is then painstakingly recreated in hand embroidery by artisans, a process that can take up to 300 hours per piece.

The result is a clutch that is also a collector's object. Every design is produced in a strictly limited edition of 77, individually numbered, and permanently retired once the edition is complete. No two interiors are alike — each piece is lined in a unique printed fabric, making it singular by design.

The pieces carried at Experience 27 include collaborations with Warner House and works based on paintings by Vincent van Gogh and illustrations by Jenny Zemanek, alongside original book clutch designs. Each one is handmade in Portugal with a stainless steel frame, a kiss-lock clasp, and the quiet confidence of something made to last.
