Half Zip Gradation Knit Top
Also available to try in our Madrid boutique — Calle Libertad 6
The Half Zip Gradation Knit Top is worked in a lightly textured, sheer-finish knit that shifts in density from shoulder to hem, catching the light in a subtle gradation across the surface. A half-zip stand collar closes at the neck, finished with ribbed cuffs at the wrist.
Fluid and quietly technical, the piece reflects Mame Kurogouchi's ongoing interest in Japanese textile craft — a fabric developed to feel both delicate and considered, worn easy over the body.
Color: Ecru • Half-zip stand collar • Long sleeves with ribbed cuffs • Lightweight, sheer-finish knit with tonal gradation • Relaxed silhouette
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Mame Kurogouchi is a Tokyo-based ready-to-wear label founded in 2010 by designer Maiko Kurogouchi. The name comes from "mame," meaning bean in Japanese and also the designer's childhood nickname. After training at Bunka Fashion College and working in the Issey Miyake studio, Kurogouchi built a label devoted to preserving Japanese textile craft, working closely with rural artisans across the country to develop fabrics and techniques found nowhere else. Her collections are largely autobiographical, drawing on her travels through Japan and a deep connection to its vintage textiles, ceramics, and paintings. The result is clothing that feels both quietly poetic and technically exacting — fluid silhouettes built from deceptively intricate construction.
