The Mock Neck Twisted L/S is a signature Song for the Mute construction — the twisted cut that repositions seams across the body, creating diagonal lines that move differently from every angle. This iteration is cut from the same sheer zig zag knit as the Zip Up Cardigan: fine-ribbed, lightly textured, with a natural stretch and subtle transparency.
The mock neck is finished with a contrast lace trim that continues at the cuffs — a detail that interrupts the utilitarian quality of the knit with something more considered. The hem is asymmetric, dipping at the side, and the twisted seam runs from shoulder to hip on the diagonal. Slim and elongated, designed to layer or to stand alone.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Song for the Mute was founded in Sydney in 2010 by Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty — lifelong friends whose contrasting sensibilities define the label. Melvin's precision meets Lyna's embrace of imperfection; the result is clothing built around that tension. The brand works with artisanal mills in Japan, Italy, and France, engineering many of its own fabrics, and releases work in chapters rather than seasons — each one drawn from the founders' own lives.
